HOCMA

The Humans of Color Movement Alliance (HOCMA) is an alliance of movement teachers of color seeking to provide accessible and representative healing and creative spaces for communities of color in Portland. We are dedicated to facilitating mindful movement and meditation classes for those who identify as members of a marginalized ethnic minority group. We aim to create welcoming, safe, and community oriented spaces for communities of color to grow and heal together. We unite through a variety of practices for the body, mind and spirit to inspire and support self-care within our own underserved and underrepresented populations. We are here to collectively heal and resist socio-economic exploitation and oppression in all of its forms, in an effort to assist in the liberation of all beings. Through diversity and collaboration, healing and celebration, meditation and expression, together we can move - together we are a movement.
